We're looking for a CNC machining centre operator to join the production team. You'll cut and machine parts from the files the design team produces, from the first board to a finished carcass.

Salary range
6,800–9,800 PLN gross/month

  • Running the CNC machining centre: loading programs, setting up tooling and clamping boards.
  • Checking finished parts against the drawing before they move on to edge banding.
  • Routine maintenance of the machine and swapping worn cutting tools.
  • Flagging any mismatch between a file and the actual material to the production manager.
  • Planning the cutting order to keep waste off each board to a minimum.

  • At least a year's experience running CNC or other numerically controlled machinery.
  • Able to read a technical drawing and basic production paperwork.
  • Accuracy and attention with material that doesn't forgive a last-minute mistake.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with nesting software for laying out cutting patterns.
  • A forklift licence.

  • Full training if your experience is on a different type of CNC machine to ours.
  • Tools and safety gear provided by the workshop.
  • Training with the board and hardware manufacturers we buy from.
  • Private healthcare.

The day starts with the list of jobs for that day and checking that the design team's files match the material that's been ordered. Most of the shift is spent at the machine: loading the program, clamping the board, keeping an eye on the cutting and machining, and setting finished parts aside for the next stage, edge banding. For unusual shapes or new designs, you check the settings with the production manager before a full run starts.
