We're looking for a joiner and installer to join a team that builds furniture in its own workshop and fits it at the client's home. The work splits roughly evenly between the shop floor and fitting jobs on site.

Salary range
6,800–10,500 PLN gross/month

  • Cutting and edge-banding panels on the panel saw and edge bander, to the drawings from the design team.
  • Fitting hardware: hinges, drawer runners, sliding systems and lift-up mechanisms.
  • Fitting furniture at the client's home: setting the carcasses, adjusting fronts and drawers, small fixes on site.
  • Checking finished parts against the drawing before they go out to a fitting job.
  • Talking to the production manager about any changes needed to an order while it's under way.

  • At least two years' experience in furniture or construction joinery.
  • Able to read a technical drawing.
  • A category B driving licence, since part of the week means driving to fitting jobs across Warsaw and the area.
  • Accuracy with measurements and patience adjusting hardware.

Nice to have

  • Experience running an edge bander or a panel saw.
  • Familiarity with hardware brands such as Blum or Hettich.
  • A forklift licence.

  • Tools and protective equipment from day one, nothing you need to buy yourself.
  • Training sessions run by hardware and material manufacturers.
  • Private healthcare.
  • A small team, so you know what's going on with other orders too.

The week usually splits into two or three days on the shop floor and two days on fitting jobs. In the workshop, you start by checking what's on for the day: cutting boards on the panel saw, edge banding, or fitting hardware for a specific order. On a fitting job you usually work in a pair, from unloading the furniture to adjusting the last hinge, with the fitting team leader as your first point of contact if anything on site needs changing.
